CBBC’s mission is to provide connectivity to a world class open access broadband network across the Columbia Basin. Regional CoverageShown on the map is CBBC fibre, and in the bottom left the fibre stretches approximately 85 km from: Trail North to Castlegar and Robson, West to Rossland, East to Montrose and Fruitvale, and South to the Waneta Dam near the US border. The headend gear to service the network is located in the newly completed South Kootenay Data Centre in downtown Trail. The City of Trail municipal fibre also terminates in the data centre allowingTrail businesses to connect to the CBBC fibre.
